Vintage 1984 Schwinn Le Tour Luxe 18 Spd Cro Moly Bike~~~rare vintage 1984 schwnin le tour luxe 18-speed road bike. Bike is all orignial except for aftermarket viscount terra nova seat and maillard cxc france pedals.
Schwinn chicago metal plate #0254= built january 25 1984. Very good original silver finish over cro moly 4130 stays doubel butted main tubes (built in america). Dceals need to be replaced. Standover height=32.75 to 33 inches or 83.2cm to 83.8 cm. Top rail center to center=22.5 inches or 57.2cm. Seat post rail center of crank to top of frame=23.25 or 59.1cm. Bottom rial center to center=25.5 or 64.8cm. Wheels are weinmann 16x630-27x1-1/4 and are straight and true. Tires are nylon schwinn passage 27x 1-1/4. Shimano super plate rear deralier (elk head logo? ). Suntour mountehc front derailer. Sakae sr super custom 170 crank. Maillard cxc pedals.
Suntour symmetric shifters mounted on bottom rail. Dia-compe schwinn approved front/rear brakes. Sakae custom road champion handlebars (original wraps). Sakae custom handlebar yoek post. Laprade sr seat post, viscount terra noav seat. Authentic schwinn approved front/rear lights-work! Specialized bottle holedr and greenfield kickstand. This bike is ultra-light! I believe all major parts are aluminum. Bike weighs around 27lbs as she sits. This bike is 100% working. Rides straight and shifts surprisingly smooth! When you ride this bike you certainly begin to appreciate the quality, and this bike is fast! Never wrecked.
Bike needs new decal kit ($6-10) on ebay. A good thorouhg cleaning/lube. And possibly new tires, these are good showing only minimal dyr rot and hold air. Bike will hsip continental u. S. Only parcel post partially disassembled. The only reason i'm selling is because i need mnoey for christmas. Offered at no reserve after starting price-thanks!
