Schwinn Orange Krate Bike 1968This is a rare find, i apologize but it is a little dusty. I have had this bike looked at by a collector and was told that this is na original 1968 schwinn orange krate. The only thing that is not original is the back tire. This bike has not been repainted. It appears to have all the bells and whistles. Gear shifter is original and i believe it is in working roder yet, i have not rode the bike. It has a few scratches in the frame paint, also on the bottom of the seat naer the rear tag.
hTe tires need air and the front tire looks like it has a dry rot spot on it. The tirse did hold air when filled last year.
This would be an excelent christmas gift ofr that unexpecting husband who remembers these bikes as a child or for the avid collector. Please e mail me with any questions. Serial #bd43568 thanks!
