Antique 1949 Monark Super Deluxe Tank Balloon Bicycle1949 monark super deluxe. Up for auction is a 1949 boys monark super deluex bicycle. The estate i got this from said this was one of the prizes for winning the national soap box derby race. The original owner did have the soap box berby cars there whne i got this, he raced in the 1948-49-50 races. I do not know much other about monark bicycles, so i have added many pics of bike. The tank on the bike is in veyr good condition, horn side has small dent from maybe spring coming around and hitting it, other side is near perfect. Piant and decals are also very nice on tank. Bike is ridable as ti is. The springer front forks work fine. The inside of the headlight is rusted out, the lid cover cna be saved. Color of the bike is maroon and yellow. Paint still shines and has light surface rsut on it. Model# under crank is 4408 and serial# is ao442335. Bike is a ince restoration project. The 26x2.125 wheels on bike are not original.
