1970 Schwinn Cotton Picker KrateOrigninal vintage 1970 schwinn cotton picker krate this is the rarest krate of all serail number is kf 67609 is on the bottom of the head tube. This bike was owned for at least the last 20 years by my neighbor who recently died and his wife asked me to help sell the bike. From what she can tell me the bike has not been repainted in the period that they owned it so if it was repainted it was a very long time ago. The bike is ni very good condition.
A fwe paint chips here and there but no dents in the frame. The cotton picker logo on the chainstay guard looks ok. The white paint is chipped but cotton picker part is still there. Everything is original as far as i can tell. The tires appear to be original but i cant eb sure.
They are in good shap but have nomal cracks from age. They still hold air and look surprisingly good. The cranks, stem and handlebars have bene rechromed and they look gorgeous. Top of the line chrome was done. The rest of the chrome on the bike looks really good! The seat is original but was recvoered about 15 years ago. The bike was rarely ridden and stored indoors all the time in a temperature controlled environment. I'm no expert on vitnage schwinn's but this one looks really nice. Not perfect but definitely a wotrhwhile collectors piece. Take a good look at the pics and i'm happy to take more fo specific places if you would like.
