(click to enlarge). Description. Here is an original vintage (i was told 1957, serial number looks like 044027) ladies 26 schwinn corvette 3-speed beach cruiser bicycle. Have you ever seen a ladies schwinn corvette? Talk about a rare rare bike! It is in the original and very appealing radiant blue colored factory paint. If you like impossible to find original bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and teh economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! The schwinn crovette was pretty much the top of the line middleweight bike offered by schwinn. There were not all that many girls corvette bikes producde and most of them were robbed of their valuable parts for boys bikes and thrown away.
That is why finidng one today is next to impossible! I have owned hundreds of bikes and this is only the second one i have ever seen! It has cool features like a front rack, crash rail seat, and stainless steel schwinn fenders! Park it next to your vintage chevrolet corvette for a real conversation starter! The tires are 26x1.75. They are vintage wide whitewall good year tires and do hold air. The bike has chrome schwinn s-7 rims front and rear. The bike is an oriignal three speed with hand controlled brakes. (will need adjustment ro possible cable replacement)dimensions the distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 28 1/2. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp si approx 18 1/2. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22. The bike will accomadate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is esay to adjust.Noted flaws this bike comes in as found condition. It needs a complete resto from top to bottom. Everything moves but it has been in very long term storage. Rear fender has dents. Rear wheel needs to be trued. Chrome is quite shiney but not perfect show quality. Remember, this is a super rare bike that will noly go up in value and it is basically complete, you dont have to waste time searching for impossible to find parts. Thsi is a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the pakr or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc.Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of epople who see you riding by. People will enjoy seeing you on your vintage bike! A great lcassic bike at a great pricewhy not ride a bike? Yuo will live longer, feel better, and save $$$ vs of the insanely high cost of gasoline. If you are looking for a fun bike to ride and enjoy thsi may be it! A nice bike to crusie the beach or your local park! People love to see and talk about and ried these classic bikes! They aer more popular now than ever before! This may be a great birthday or other special holiday gift for someone! It is never too soon to think ahead and get someone something they may really like! This starts reasonably with absolutely no reserve os bid early and don't miss out! These are getting to be hard to find in any condition and to my knowledge, have not been reproduced. Sold as is simply because it is used.
